Located to the west of the vineyards of Mouton and Lafite, Duhart-Milon is implanted on a gravel soil. At the time of its purchase by the Rothschild family (from Lafite) in 1962, the estate came out of a succession of owners (five in 25 years!) and the vineyard is in poor condition. Since vine cultivation and winemaking have been carried out by the teams at Lafite Rothschild, the wines have become increasingly regular. The quality has truly improved since 1978, and since 1982, Duhart-Milon has returned to a very good level.
This 2021 vintage wonderfully combines concentration with immense distinction. The mouth is straight, racy and develops notes of spices in the finish. The touch ‘Lafite’ is really perceptible. It is a wine that requires several years of aging in order to unfold all its aromatic complexity.
NB : Sold with its original wooden box in perfect condition.
